Do I need to install any software?

Yes. For mobile device support, we will ask you to install the HelpDesk Host app developed by Idrive Incorporated. For computers, we provide a link to download the software. To ensure we are the only people who can access your device, you will need to enter the code we provide to start the private session.

Can you provide remote support if I don’t have internet right now?

In most cases, probably not. But sometimes, the internet is still available through your mobile phone, so we can use video or voice calls to help solve the problem. By doing a video call, we can see what you can see, and provide advice on the necessary steps to get you back up and running. Otherwise, we try to talk you through the resolution, or even use your phone as a hotspot while we fix the problem. If you are unsure if any of these options are available to you, contact us with your specific situation and we will advise the best course of action.

Will I be talking to somebody in Tasmania, or diverted overseas?

You will always talk to a local in Tasmania and will never be diverted elsewhere.

What are your rates?

We charge $35 incl. GST per 15 minutes. So a typical 30-minute support call would be $70. We do not start charging until the support request is discussed, an approach is agreed upon and any connectivity issues have been resolved.

If the problem cannot be resolved remotely, do you offer onsite services to Leeka?

Yes, we often travel to different locations in Tasmania, but we do charge a reasonable fee to cover travel costs.

What systems can you remotely connect to?

Our remote support software is limited to PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android devices. For mobile devices, access is limited to view only.
